Rios' failed in drug test; Pacquiao reacted
After losing to Pacquiao via unanimous decision when they fought in Macau, Rios was found to have failed his last drug test, administered by the Voluntary Anti-Doping Association (VADA).
Rios tested positive for the banned substance methylhexanamine, which is a known dietary supplement.
Pacquiao passed all the tests administered by VADA – the four pre-fight tests and the post-fight blood and urine tests.

The Filipino champ said he never suspected Rios of using a banned substance, but was admittedly surprised that “Bam Bam” managed to stay upright for 12 rounds even when being repeatedly battered.
When informed that Rios and his strength and conditioning trainer, Alex Ariza, has questioned the VADA protocols for doing the drug testing, Pacquiao pointed out that they followed the same procedure.
“Mahirap ‘yung mangatwiran.”
